A few things in the news are bothering me today. Why is it that the government can pretend that the "New" and "Democratic" Iraq is doing just fine? The media is chapping my hide as well. Let's take a look at the news. Looking on MSN news today, Sunday, April, 3, 2005 I find five stories about the pope dying, and not a single news story about the two American soldiers that died in combat. Why is that? Do we really need five separate stories telling us the pope is dead? The popes mother isn't weeping over her lost child. She's dead too you know. What we need is for the media moguls to realize that dead American youth, is a much more important subject than an old guy passing away. I know he's the leader of the catholic church. What people don't seem to understand is that ALL the popes die in office. It's getting to be old news. The last pope was only in office for what, a year? The whole world mourned then too. It may be important to some people, maybe to a great number, but it is NOT more important than the young men who died in service to their country. Our servicemen were just a line in another story, a story about Iraq not being able to pick a president. After they do finally pick a president, then they are going to pick a prime minister. Huh? Aren't each of these positions supposed to be the TOP position in the country? This is just another boondoggle proving that America and England can't make up their minds or come to an agreement, yet still don't want to step on each other's toes. It's activities like this that make me think we should have left the job to France.
Why bother sending hate mail, just put your comments in the chatterbox to the right. We used to get much better news when more independant news sources were available. Five companies now own most of the media. Those five companies have pretty much the same agenda. If you get your news from our mass media, You're not getting the whole truth. Try to find some independant news sources. Underground news as it's beginning to be called seems to have the best views of the truth. Media giants hire "yes men" to do the reporting so that the media moguls get what they want. Underground newsmen keep seeking the truth, and they dig it up. Even the news in foreign countries seems to have a better grasp of the happenings in our country than "We the people."
So it's not funny. It doesn't have to be it's just a commentary. Grow up. Funny stuff will come soon. I just couldn't stand to not let my point get some air time.
