Strange Electromagnetism

Scientist performing studies on the earths electromagnetic fields have found new evidence of variations in the earths fields. Researchers from The Institute of Geophysical Studies, (IGS), have determined that the Southeastern United States has variations in the Earths magnetic field similar to the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic Ocean.

Lead scientists of IGS stated in an exclusive interview today with "the-satirist" lead investigative reporter that studies have been going on for about three years to find the cause of this phenomenon.

Dr. Proton, top researcher for the study stated in confidence; "Off the record, we were originally going to do some work in the everglades, but you have so many accidents here that we just had to find out why. I think we have come up with solid evidence that it isn't anything that can be avoided." When asked what that evidence was he said first we would have to understand some of their testing procedures to get a full understanding of the data.

We spent a day with his research team in the field and saw some of their research in action. It was a very exciting day. We were shown how the electromagnetic measurements were gathered and the data processed. We saw the use of seismographs, isometriscopes, and radiometers. They had a mobile computer lab to analyze all the collected information. In the afternoon we went to the state lines where Georgia borders on Alabama, and Florida and were shown the actual effects that the changes caused.

"I couldn't believe it until I actually saw it for myself, but the evidence doesn't lie" said Dr. Proton. At the borders it was clear that outside of the state of Georgia all the vehicles have fully functional blinkers and accelerators. As soon as these same vehicles crossed into the state of Georgia the fluctuation in the Earths electromagnetic fields cause the vehicles to speed up an average of 20 miles per hour above the speed limit, and cause the blinkers to fail. "We aren't really sure what we can do to equalize the fields, but we are making suggestions to the federal government that perhaps cars manufactured for sale in the south have fully shielded electrical systems to avoid system failures such as we've seen today." Said a representative of IGS.

So just remember while you are driving and thinking you are the only one not being a jerk on the highway, everyone else is thinking the same thing.
